CAMP KREM May - August Positions Open:
Dates: Camp Counselors, Team Leaders, Summer Season, 11-week season, salary for 10 weeks(one week unpaid orientation/training). Dates: Directors, Specialists, Support Staff, Summer Season,, 12-week season, salary for 11 weeks, (1 week unpaid and 1 week paid training). Applications are now being accepted. We will hire until all our staffing needs are met. If you are only available for a certain time period, please let us know. We may, at times, hire staff on a short term basis for certain sessions. Camp Counselor: Salary: $220. per week for 10 weeks, $230 with lifeguard certificate. DUTIES:Camp counselors receive a week of intensive training to help them live with their campers providing for all of their physical, social, emotional and recreational needs in a positive, caring, and supportive manner. Personal care may entail assisting with dressing, feeding and / or toileting certain campers. Counselors participate in all outdoor recreational activities with their campers and are a source of support, encouragement positive reinforcement, leadership and good times. Counselors have time off with each session. Activities Include: Swimming, backpacking, overnight tent camping, sports, drama, cheerleading, music dance, arts and crafts, nature, gardening, field trips, etc. Campers have mild to severe disabilities and may have behavioral differences. REQUIREMENTS: Age 18+. Minimum 1 year college. Leadership, enthusiasm, good judgment, diligence, patience, sense of humor, strong interpersonal skills. Volunteer Counselors-In-Training: DUTIES: Age 15+. Lead, participate in outdoor recreational activities. Live-in small cabin or tent under the direction of experienced camp counselors. Will assist with leading activities and personal care of campers. Volunteers can apply for one session. REQUIREMENTS: Maturity, ability to work under direction, patience, sense of humor. Salary: Non-salaried position but receives room and board in addition to training. Aquatics Director: DOE. Per week, Age 21+: Duties: Plan aquatic's program organize, supervise all swimming activities. Pool maintenance. Train staff. Lifeguard, prefer WSI, supervisory skills. Knowledge of adapted aquatics. Good interpersonal skills. Travel Camp Directors: DOE. Per week, Age 21+: Duties: Drive camp bus on travel tours. Assist disabled campers with outdoor activities and daily living skills. Train/supervise staff. Inventory supplies. Must have experience with special populations. Camping Experience. Bus License (we can train the right candidate). Registered Nurse: Salary DOE. Per day plus room and board. Live in: Supervises health and safety procedures, administers meds/first aid/treatments. Keep records. Primary health provider.
